Linda Stone

Mrs. Linda (Herkert) Stone began her teaching career in 1984 and has been a second grade teacher at St. Mary School for over 40 years. St. Mary School and Parish are very important to her, and she is a proud alumni of St. Mary School, having graduated from sixth grade in 1974. She graduated from Taylorville High School in 1980 and then Lincoln Land Community College in 1982 with an Associates Degree. From there, she attended Eastern Illinois University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1984.

Mrs. Stone has had the privilege of teaching many second-generation students and continuing the legacy of St. Mary’s School within local families. She was born in Taylorville and has lived most of her life here. When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her great nieces and nephew. She also loves traveling, reading, and baking.
