Karen Lemon

Mrs. Karen Lemon brings with her years of experience in elementary education. She began teaching first grade at St. Mary in 2018. Before joining St. Mary School, she taught first and second grade at Saint Maurice School in Morrisonville for fifteen years and at Head Start in Litchfield for eight years. She graduated from Hillsboro High School, earned an Associate’s degree from Lincoln Land Community College, and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in elementary education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Originally from a farm outside of Irving, Mrs. Lemon has lived in Hillsboro for over thirty years with her husband, Larry. Together, they have two adult sons, Koby and Kaden, and a dog named Kash. Outside of teaching, Mrs. Lemon enjoys reading, walking, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family.
