Dennis Jones

Dennis Jones is starting his 1st year teaching band students at St. Mary School. Dennis just retired with 35 years of experience teaching band, most recently as Director of Bands for Rochester High School for the past 28 years. Mr. Jones is an active musician in the Central Illinois area, performing with the Taylorville and Decatur Municipal Band, St. Louis Brass Band, and in the pit orchestra at Springfield Muni, Legacy, and Hoagland Theaters. Dennis is also active in performing special music in several area churches. His 3 children all attended St. Mary School and his wife Mary taught preschool at St. Mary for several years. Mr. Jones is blessed with the opportunity to teach our wonderful St. Mary students and help develop our young musicians.
