Cathy Schaeffer

Mrs. Schaeffer has been teaching at St. Mary School since 2003, initially serving as the technology coordinator for five years before transitioning to the role of sixth-grade teacher. She is a proud graduate of Tuscola High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in journalism from the University of Illinois, as well as teacher certification from the University of Illinois in Springfield.

She and her husband have resided in Taylorville since 1993 and are the parents of two sons who are alumni of St. Mary School. Mrs. Schaeffer’s primary goal as an educator is to guide students in becoming good neighbors by fostering kindness and compassion in their interactions with others.
