Religion Update:

We have been talking this week about the "Big Boomerang". . . Jesus' rising from the dead. He went away (died) and came back to life! The children are learning words like enemy and betrayal. Most of the children were surprised to learn that Judas sold Jesus, his trusted friend, to enemy soldiers for the equivalent to $20 - - all knew that is not a lot of money! Next week we will continue the story.

Thanks to all of you, and the grandparents, who helped make this week extra special. What fun we have had! The bowling trip was great, and Grandparents Mass was so well attended! The children really loved having Grandma and Grandpa at Mass, here in the classroom, and at lunch. Please let the grandparents know that they are welcome to come again. . .just call the office by 9 a.m. to make a lunch reservation. My door is always open if they'd like to visit us!

Ballgame on Friday

If you haven't attended a Student/Faculty Basketball game, please try to attend tomorrow. The sixth graders always seem to have something up their sleeves, but we keep trying to outwit and out score them! The fun begins around 1:15 in the gymnasium.

Math: Congruent shapes, adding two digit numbers (no regrouping,) identifying and counting groups of coins, graphing. Memorization of

Looking Ahead: We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
No School on February 20 as it is Presidents' Day.
School is in session on Ash Wednesday,February 22.
