Special greetings from the faculty and families of St. Mary School in Taylorville, Illinois. Our school was founded in 1909 beginning as a one room structure on Franklin Street. In 1921 our current building was constructed on Washington Street to serve the needs of a growing student population.

Today we serve children in grades kindergarten through six. In addition to our regular academic curriculum, which includes daily classes in the Catholic faith, our students also enjoy special classes in art, music, physical education, band, and computer. We have two libraries; one for the intermediate children and one for the primary children. We also have a staffed BeforeCare and AfterCare Program that is offered to the school families.

On Thursday mornings we pause to praise our God at the 9:00 Mass. Fr. Alan Hunter is our pastor and Mrs. Carole Harrison is our Director of Religious Education. Our students serve in the various ministries of these Masses. Come join us. You'll be glad you did.

Larry Daly, Principal
